Seeking out Euphoria

Seeking out Euphoria is the first chapter of an ongoing project that documents Clayton Heeley's emotions and experiences as he begins his transition from Female to Male.

After emerging as Transgender, Heeley came to realise that family and friends often approached him with questions and misconceptions around Transgender issues and identities. Using photography as a visual diary, Heeley gives insight into the isolation and frustration experienced whilst overcoming obstacles such as long NHS waiting lists, learning to connect with a body he doesn't recognise as his own and living in a cis-gender world as a Transgender man.
