The Marcus King Band
Description:
The second album by the blues rock band led by young guitar prodigy Marcus King, which made its impressive debut in Japan at Fuji Rock Festival '17, is now complete! The second album of the Rock Band is a modern rock sound, inheriting the Southern Rock lineage of Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, and others who were Marcus' mentors in his teenage years. Except for the fifth track, "How Long," which he co-wrote with Dan Orbach of the Black Keys and veteran singer/songwriter Pat McLaughlin, all of the songs on the album are Marcus' original compositions. The result is a masterpiece in the vein of the Stones' "Let It Bleed" and the Dead's "American Beauty," where you can get lost in Marcus' soulful voice as well as his guitar playing. About this album, Marcus says, "All of the songs on this record are based on one central theme. That is that there is no such thing as a person who has no room for refuge when a relational RELATIONSHIP ends".
